Studio Way of Life
As a traveling artist I have made many places into a studio. Be it an old shed, my dads garage, the driveway in the sun, under the stars by a campfire or on the beach nestled in the sand. Being creative and loving to travel has its many challenges in combing the two. As a ceramic artist there are necessary tools needed to achieve the best results. Luckily my kiln is travel size, my potters wheel is standard and my passion to create handmade objects is overwhelming so the art making process continues. By using natural materials and Eco-friendly products I work on continually reducing my carbon footprint and inspiring others through ceramics to be mindful of theirs as well.
My love for clay began in 2012 when I was first introduced to the medium. I became obsessed with making ceramic vessels and sculpting smooth earth. The properties and elements that make up the ceramic process inspired me. The life of a pot from ball of dirt to usable water resistant object was like a metaphor for the human experience through life. I choose to continue to make things as I am traveling and selling my work as I go.
Depending on where I decide to call home base for the time being will depict where I show my work. Take a look at my Events page to stay up to date as to where I’ll be next.
